Mechanism of Action
ACE-031 circulates as a soluble fusion protein, capturing myostatin, GDF-11, and activin before they reach ActRII receptors on muscle cell surfaces. This prevents Smad2/3-mediated inhibition of muscle growth, resulting in hypertrophy. The Fc domain extends its circulating half-life to approximately 2 weeks.
